It's September and we certainly are ushering in the cozy and grounded feeling of Fall all around us. We can feel the energy change on Water Street down here at the boutique and welcome the turning inward to witness what we have sown since early summer.

We are continually adding new apparel, toys and beauty products to our repertoire and invite you to come visit us or explore our website www.vespertineboutique.com. Just this week, we've added new lounge apparel in luscious colors and comfy fabrics.

We are committed and excited to provide services that are truly desired in our community. Your involvement in the survey is giving  us valuable information on how to carefully curate our services. Happy Fall & Much Love from the VesperTeam!

A quiet revolution is happening in the middle of downtown Port Townsend. I say quiet because the Vespertine Boutique, which has been open 11 days now, is a peaceful refuge.

The store is filled with art, candles, sofas, soft lingerie, books and toys for people older than 18. Owner Jaime Jaynes, 42, dreamed up this place based on her upbringing here plus her career elsewhere, plus her hopes as a 21st-century woman.

“In botany, a vespertine flower is one that opens or blooms in the evening, ” according to the shop’s website. In the front window of the store at 914 Water St. is Jaynes and the company’s credo.

“We support lifelong sexual health. We recognize intimate relationships and experiences change as our bodies age … our mission is to offer the best products and resources to support more pleasurable and safe experiences for our clientele at any stage of life.”

Wow!

These first few weeks since opening have been the most exciting and gratifying experience. The Vesperteam (as we lovingly call ourselves) has had a wonderful time getting to know you all.  Thank you so much for coming in, introducing yourselves and sharing your stories, hopes and well wishes with us. 

This venture has certainly been a fulfilling one so far. The amount of support, gratitude and excitement from the community has ignited our passion and motivation for this project (and its future endeavors) even more. 

Now that the shop and website are up and running, we are looking forward to expanding into our next platform for sexual health. We will soon be announcing Vespertine’s first upcoming presenters for the Fall/Winter (Covid-willing). In these forums we will explore topics such as sexual health and pleasure at all stages of life, pelvic floor health, relationship to your body, gender identity conversations and more. We also have some amazing authors and book signings coming your way.

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our flagship location in downtown Port Townsend, on July 10, 2021.

Vespertine Boutique, is an age-positive, feminine wellness boutique. We support the physical and mental wellness of our customer base through a rich product offering, as well as workshops and events, to invite self-exploration and discovery.

Jaime Jaynes, owner and proprietor, saw a clear gap in the market, and felt a responsibility to share her knowledge, experience, and provide customers sexual wellness information, resources, and products to meet their needs. Vespertine Boutique will deliver on its mission to support women and non-binary-owned businesses, products designed and innovated by people with feminine anatomy, and to reinvest in the community through outreach. 

Vespertine opens on Saturday, July 10th at 11 am. Located at 914 Water Avenue.
